CALLING ALL DIRECTORS AND DESIGNERS!
SLOC Musical Theater is excited to begin the process of planning our 98th Season!
The Board of Directors is accepting submissions for 5 productions, both musical and nonmusical, to be presented between September 2024 and May 2025. We’re looking for a variety of submissions, from classics to moderns, from well-loved chestnuts to recent hits!
New this year: we are accepting applications for designers to submit independent from Directors if they would like to be involved in the upcoming season.

Please review the Directors FAQ and official Call For Directors Guide, which includes the link to our online Director Application. If you are submitting multiple shows with the same team and dates, you may submit it all on one form. If you are submitting multiple shows with different teams and dates for each show, please submit one form per show submission. Please include an artistic resume with your submission highlighting directorial and production experience. Following the review of submissions, director candidates may be asked to interview with the Show Recommendation committee prior to final selection by the Board of Directors.
When completing your application, please be sure to identify as much of your production and design staff as possible and clearly outline your artistic vision for the production. We encourage unique and unconventional interpretations of these productions that will celebrate a diverse and inclusive cast, crew, and staff representing a variety of backgrounds, races, ethnicities, ages, gender identities, abilities, shapes, sizes, and types. Before adding any names to your team, however, please be sure they have agreed to be a part of your production.

Some Directors do submit shows without a full team. To match Designers, Producers, Choreographers, Music Directors, etc. with Directors that don’t have full teams, we are including a call to submit independently of a full show submission.
If you are interested in being involved in a production for our 98th Season but have not been approached by a submitting Director, please review our Designers Guide and consider submitting an application electronically. Please be sure to identify as much of your interest and availability as possible, you should also include a resume that lists the roles and shows you have been involved in.
