Born in Germany, Irma graduated from New York’s Julliard School of Music racking up an impressive list of professional credits in opera, theater, radio and TV before settling in the Capital Region. A well-respected fixture on area stages as an actress, singer, and stage director from the 1940s through the 1990s, Irma was a also a champion for the local arts as advocate and administrator.
