MYRON E. HERMANCE, JR.

1928-2020

Myron was an old-time associate of SLOC. He was dedicated to the art of music. Myron played the cello and tuba, a member of different orchestras. He was a vocalist/soloist for both Christian and Jewish places of worship. Many a church choir was under the leadership of Myron’s baton. Myron was also a music educator in both the public and private setting.

Myron performed with groups ranging from the Mendelssohn Club to the Shen Senior Orchestra to the Glimmerglass Opera Company, where he was a chorus member in the production of, Yeoman of the Guard. Yes, Myron earned his nickname, “Mr. Music.” But above all, Myron was dedicated to his family!

Thank you, Myron.
