Norman Clark Gittinger

1930-2020

Clark was involved in several productions during the 1960’s and 1970’s. His expertise laid in the stage crew and set construction arenas. Clark never appeared on stage, although he was left/got caught on stage in but, luckily, as his wife Millie told me, “he was not seen.” Millie also told me; “Some of the set for 1776, is now the back wall of the theater – that wood paneling that is seen in the section where refreshments are served in intermission.”

The Gittingers were SLOC patrons for years. For Clark’s and Millie’s service to SLOC, they were inducted into the Thelma Zeh Gallery of Honor.
