Youth Triple Threat Workshop with Corey Snide

The SLOC Education Committee is excited to host a “Triple Threat Workshop” with Corey Snide on Thursday, April 4th from 6-9pm in the Education Building at SLOC. Corey is nationally and internationally renowned choreographer, dancer, actor (onstage and film), and Co-Founder of Capital District Arts Initiative.

This workshop will be split up into four sections: voice, movement, acting, and Q&A. In the vocal portion, Mr. Snide will take students through vocal exercises he uses to warm up and strengthen his voice. He’ll also share tips on maintaining good vocal health while working a rigorous and demanding performance schedule. The movement part will help performers at all dance skill levels incorporate acting and characterization into their movement and dancing. The acting portion will help students explore how to nail cold readings and make actors stand out in scene work and auditions. During Q&A, students will be able to ask about Mr. Snide’s career; how he started as a child actor, what he’s doing now, and anything else they’d like to know.

If you are able to attend, please RSVP by email to education@sloctheater.org by Thursday, March 28th. Any questions you have may be directed to Education Committee Director, Erica Buda-Doran.

Although this event is an open invitation, space is limited, so please RSVP quickly. We hope to see you there!
