Costume Workshop with Connie Rowe Rauhauser

The SLOC Education Committee is excited to host a “Costuming Workshop” with Connie Rowe Rauhauser on Saturday, May 17th from 10am-12pm in the Education Building at SLOC. Connie is one of the Capital Region’s most sought after costume designers and an active member at SLOC.

Ever wondered what goes into costume designing a show? One you’ve designed it, where do you find the costumes or materials? How do you measure your actors for fittings? Connie will help you answer all of these questions and more! She will take attendees through the process of costume designing from start to finish. From talking about colors and fabrics to borrowing and creating costumes, she’ll cover it all! Attendees will also get hands-on experience learning how to take actors’ measurements and tour the SLOC costume shop. All needed materials will be provided, however you are encouraged to bring a notebook and pencil to take notes. This workshop is recommended for students and adults ages 16+. Class size is limited to 25 and will fill up quickly, so sign up now!
