Gene was a respected and well-liked musician (clarinet and sax) and music educator in the South Colonie School System. Gene played with many musical organizations throughout his life, from the West Point Band during his Army years to the Schenectady Symphony to and including SLOC. Gene also performed at Proctors, backing up such artists as Tom Jones Johnny Mathis

Like FR. Carlino said at Gene’s funeral, “Gene’s whole life had a musical quality to it.” Gene was always friendly and upbeat. A VERY POSITIVE PERSON.
