Starting out as an understudy in SLOC’s 1938 production of THE GONDOLIERS, David appeared in a string of the company’s production of Gilbert and Sullivan operettas including THE SORCERER (48), HMS PINAFORE (47).  Very active with The Schenectady Civic Players, appearing in more than a dozen shows, David (along with his wife Irma) was part of the early on-air talent at WGY appearing on the radio programs “FBI in Action” and as David Brooks in the weekly program “Breakfast with the Brooks” opposite his in-real- life wife Irma. David’s last SLOC appearance was as Poo-Bah in THE MIKADO in 1951.
